This beautiful and modern extension absolutely transformed this Victorian home.

Kann Architecture were luckily involved with this project from its inception through to its completion.  The initial consultation meeting brought to light the need for a unified design for the rear part of the building.

The designs were developed to create an an incredible open-plan kitchen and family dining room, which would see light and movement travel more freely through the ground floor, from the front door to the garden.

The extension’s overhanging eaves were extended to the full width of the house to give a modern sense of grandeur and enclosure, creating an open-air courtyard to its side.

The choice of materials for this project are a simple palette of whites, greys and blacks to allow the shapes, lights and shadows to speak for themselves.
